Mission
To ensure product and process quality throughout the supply chain by leading effective quality systems, supporting customer satisfaction, and preventing defects from 0km through warranty stages.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities of Quality Technicians / Auditors as needed.
- Train / mentor subordinate Quality Personnel as needed
- Responsible for customer interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
- Responsible for supplier interfacing on quality issues for assigned responsibilities including APQP / PPAP.
- Responsible for sample submissions for new product or engineering changes.
- Maintain control plans, PFMEAs inspection and gage instructions and other assigned quality plan documentation
- Lead problem solving activities for internal and external concerns relating to assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) documentation for assigned programs
- Develop, implement and maintain data collection and metric systems to ensure effectiveness of quality systems.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by Management. Has the authority to approve sample submission documentation.
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality systems.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.
- Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
- Grupo Antolin Quality Systems including Test Tool Management, QIM Management, NCR, SAP as applicable.
- Customer Specific Requirements
- Adhere to all plant safety requirements, company safety policies, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) regulations
- Additional job-related tasks as needed
What we are looking for
- Educational Requirements: Minimum four (4) year degree is required. An ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is desired, and a Master's degree is optional.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in supplier and customer-related quality engineering is also required, along with at least 1 year of experience working with APQP on new products within the automotive industry.
- Physical Requirement: Work involves both office and manufacturing settings. Office tasks require sitting or standing at a computer and using standard equipment. Manufacturing tasks may require walking or standing for extended periods, performing inspections, light lifting, and wearing required PPE.
- May require domestic and international travel
Skills & Abilities
- Core AIAG quality training, including PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, and SPC.
- Strong competency in metrology, blueprint reading, statistical techniques, and color/appearance measurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Antolin systems such as BEONE, SAP, QIM, and NCR (preferred).
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Spanish language ability is desired.
