Job summary

WAI Global in Southaven, Mississippi is seeking an Inbound Team Lead to strengthen our Distribution Center’s receiving and put-away operations. You will coordinate, train, and participate in activities related to verifying, receiving goods, record-keeping, and movement from inbound dock to staging areas.

The role emphasizes ensuring accurate inbound processing, meeting daily targets, and supporting the Inbound Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification; 4 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ComputerSkills: Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• MaterialHandling Equipment Experience: Pallet Jack, Forklift, Hand Truck, PalletJack, Reach Truck, etc.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work the required shift - Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.
• Analyze receiving notices, packing slips, and other records to determine priorities, work assignments, and the necessary receiving methods to meet schedules.
• Assist in the planning, organizing, participation, and monitoring of receiving, storage, and distribution processes for all received items.
• Monitor the unloading of materials into the Receiving area.
• Provide training, work direction, and coordination of assigned personnel, including training associates on unloading, receiving, and movement of materials from the inbound dock to the staging area.
• Maintain records of unfilled received shipments.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies with accounting related to invoices, packing slips, and receiver prepared reports.
• Collaborate or correspond with management to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Communicate with carrier representatives to make arrangements or issue instructions for the delivery of materials.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Assist with the unloading and receiving of goods at the receiving dock or designated staging area.
• Verify that goods received match the corresponding purchase order or packing list.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a professional and safe manner.
• Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
• Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-consciousculture.
• Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
