Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in Dayton, NJ is hiring an Onsite Inbound Operations Manager to lead daily DC activities and drive safety, efficiency, and service. You will oversee labor scheduling, performance coaching, and OSHA compliance while partnering with 3PLs and internal teams.

This role demands strong communication, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement, cost control, and on-time shipping. Inventory accuracy and workflow optimization are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; 3–5 years in furniture/final mile distribution or manufacturing leadership.
• Or 6–8 years of progressive furniture/final mile distribution leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
• This is an onsite and in-office role.
• Strong written and verbal communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks on time.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Solid understanding of Safety and OSHA standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities for urgent situations.
• Ability to adapt processes to changing business needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop associates; foster accountability and high performance.
• Oversee labor scheduling, shift planning, and attendance tracking; monitor productivity.
• Identify gaps and implement corrective actions through coaching and training.
• Conduct safety meetings, training, and audits to maintain safety and compliance.
• Drive discipline via performance reviews, metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily DC operations, ensure efficient execution, cost control, and KPI adherence.
• Manage line-haul optimization to improve delivery speed and reliability while reducing costs.
• Build and manage relationships with 3PLs, contractors, and employees; ensure policy adherence.
• Review third-party partner performance and contract alignment for objectives.
• Foster a customer-centric culture; improve on-time shipping, reduce damages, and returns.
• Handle customer escalations and provide effective resolutions.
• Develop contingency plans for seasonal demand and disruptions.
• Oversee warehouse organization and dock operations for safe loading and dispatch.
• Ensure inventory control and accurate shipment tracking; minimize loss or damage.
