Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking a Supervisor-Inbound to oversee day-to-day receiving operations at the warehouse, ensuring policies are followed and quality checks are performed. The role involves supervising associates, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating inbound processes to maximize efficiency.

The individual will guide tasks on the dock and in coolers, assist with forklift operations, and drive continuous improvement through daily communication and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily receiving processes on the dock and in coolers, ensuring proper work methods.
• Assist staff when short-staffed, operate forklifts, ship, receive products, load trucks or clean.
• Communicate daily with teams to improve inbound processes.
• Coach and develop maintenance associates.
• Monitor adherence to policy and safety requirements.
• Issue discipline when necessary.
• Maintain associate relations through meetings and ongoing interaction.
• Keep channels open for questions and policy explanations.
• Monitor morale and seek ideas to boost engagement.
• Plan department activities and review policies for efficiency.
• Substitute as needed and manage upkeep of power equipment.
