Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Suffolk, VA is seeking an experienced Operations leader to direct inbound and outbound warehouse activities, oversee product receiving, replenishment, order selection and loading, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the warehouse.

The role requires 7 years of related experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to manage staff, budgets, and vendor relationships while maintaining accurate documentation and optimizing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Must obtain Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct inbound and outbound warehouse operations and staff.
• Manage labor hours and supplies within budget and schedules.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Develop relationships with third-party vendors, including lumping services.
• Review shipping and loading audits and ensure proper documentation (HACCP, food safety) is maintained.
• Prepare budgets, profit plans, and capital requests as required.
• Evaluate metrics and drive performance improvements.
