As an Inbound Dock Supervisor, you will oversee dock operations, supervise, and coordinate the activities of dock associates assigned to the dock and/or yard. You will also oversee the routing of shipments and the loading/unloading of freight.
Your responsibilities include establishing controls to ensure Pickup & Delivery (P&D) units are closed at scheduled times, handling special customer requests promptly, and ensuring inbound close-out for timeliness. You will be responsible for P&D loading, including managing stops, weight, and load conditions to meet error-free work standards. Implement and practice effective loss prevention strategies within the Service Center, involving personnel and cargo claims/loss prevention teams, focusing on continuous improvement. Maintain the integrity of P&D loads originating from the Service Center, with a focus on ongoing measurable improvements.
Plan warehouse and storage layouts considering item turnover, size, and weight. Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow. Assign duties and review work for accuracy, neatness, and policy compliance. Maintain awareness of significant risks and implement appropriate controls.
Requirements for this role include a High School Diploma or GED, along with at least 2 years of dock or leadership experience, or completion of Southeastern’s Management Training Program.
