Job summary

Best Buy's Geek Squad Agent role is the first point of contact for technology support in the store. You will assess customer needs, perform basic services and collaborate with other agents for more complex repairs.

Training and resources are provided to help you grow in a fast-paced retail environment. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, a passion for technology, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures for tech support

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and advise on repair or replacement options
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
• Communicate effectively with customers and teammates
