Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Advanced Repair Technician (Agent) to work at our local store, providing technology support and repairing computers and devices. You will help customers by listening to their needs and partnering with other Geek Squad Agents to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues.

You will maintain documentation, follow procedures, and stay current with certifications through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting or repairing technology products.
• Experience actively using and learning about consumer electronics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic discoveries, make recommendations, repair devices and help customers in-person and over the phone.
• Establish and maintain consistent rhythms for timely follow-up and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
• Partner with team members to document customer requests and repairs accurately.
• Ensure repair tasks are completed in a timely manner and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain knowledge, skillsets and certifications through training courses.
