Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an In-Store Shopping Clerk to fulfill online orders and assist customers with product quality and substitutions. You will use the Instacart Shopper App on a mobile device to pick items and ensure accurate orders, while maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role emphasizes friendly, reliable customer service, effective communication, and teamwork as you process transactions and help deliver a positive shopping experience for Sprouts customers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior; positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Standing, walking, bending throughout the entire workday.
• Able to maneuver a 20 lb. cart; up to 35 lbs. force, up to 2 hours, up to 20 feet.
• Walk up to 3 miles in an 8-hour shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• In-store to shop and fulfill customer’s online orders using the Instacart Shopper App on a mobile device.
• Provide excellent customer service by focusing on product quality and freshness, and substituting potential out-of-stock items.
• Communicate any necessary changes to an order.
• Process order transactions using the in-store POS system.
• Serve as an online ambassador for the store, answering questions about delivery, the Instacart platform, and benefits of the service.
• May assist in other areas of the store by stocking shelves and maintaining presentation.
