Job summary

Wild Fork is seeking a Retail Sales Associate in Plainview, NY to deliver a warm, expert shopping experience as a personal chef and friendly butcher. You’ll help customers with product knowledge, recipes, and meal inspiration while keeping the store stocked and ready.

Work in a fast-paced, cold environment, handle cash, and support opening/closing duties. The role offers full-time and part-time options with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour plus bonus potential and a strong emphasis on teamwork

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail, grocery, hospitality, or food experience.
• Strong customer service skills with enthusiasm for food.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk 8–10 hours.
• Flexible scheduling (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Basic math skills for cash handling; POS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, engaging shopping experience.
• Provide recommendations, cooking tips, recipes, and product insights.
• Support replenishment, merchandising, and store readiness.
• Operate the POS with accuracy and handle cash.
• Open/close duties and daily recovery routines.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to meet store goals.
