Job summary

Wild Fork is hiring Retail Sales Associates in Bethpage, NY. You will create an exceptional guest experience with expert product knowledge, recipes, and warm hospitality while maintaining stock, pricing, and store readiness.

This role includes cash handling, opening/closing duties, and operating in a walk-in freezer. Both full-time and part-time shifts are available, with starting wages of $18.00 per hour plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail, grocery, hospitality, or food experience required.
• Strong customer service skills with enthusiasm for food and culinary exploration.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk 8–10 hours.
• Flexible scheduling (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Basic math skills for cash handling; POS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, engaging personal chef & friendly butcher shopping experience.
• Provide recommendations, cooking tips, recipes, and product insights.
• Demonstrate understanding of daily sales goals and promotions.
• Drive sales by engaging customers, building baskets, and cross-selling.
• Support service standards to ensure customers feel welcomed and valued.
• Work with team leaders to meet store goals and participate in training.
