Job summary

Wild Fork is hiring a Retail Sales Associate in East Hanover, NJ. You will create an exceptional guest experience by delivering a personal chef and friendly butcher service, using product knowledge, recipes, and hospitality to engage customers.

You will support replenishment, inventory accuracy, store readiness, and work in freezer environments while handling cash and assisting opening/closing duties. Join a values-driven team with growth and culinary perks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail, grocery, hospitality, or food experience required.
• Strong customer service skills with enthusiasm for food and culinary exploration.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk 8–10 hours.
• Flexible scheduling (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Basic math skills for cash handling; POS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer experience and selling.
• Deliver a warm, engaging shopping experience as a “personal chef & friendly butcher.”
• Give recommendations, cooking tips, recipes, and product insights.
• Meet daily sales goals and promotions through customer interaction and selling behaviors.
• Drive sales by engaging customers, building baskets, and suggesting product pairings.
• Support store readiness, replenishment, merchandising, and planogram changes.
• Assist with receiving and processing deliveries and back-stock organization.
• Work in freezer/cold environments and adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Operate POS, process transactions, returns, and exchanges and perform opening/closing duties.
