Job summary

Wild Fork is hiring a Retail Sales Associate in East Hanover, NJ, offering full-time and part-time roles with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour plus bonus potential. You will welcome customers with a personal chef and friendly butcher approach, provide product knowledge, and help with recipes and meal ideas.

You will also stock, rotate, and price merchandise, work in freezer environments, handle cash, and support opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail, grocery, hospitality, or food experience preferred.
• Strong customer service with enthusiasm for food and culinary exploration.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk 8–10 hours.
• Flexible scheduling (mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Basic math skills for cash handling; POS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, engaging shopping experience as a retail associate.
• Provide product recommendations, cooking tips, recipes, and insights.
• Drive sales by engaging customers and building baskets through product pairings.
• Replenish, merchandise, and ensure a visually appealing store.
• Assist with deliveries, stock organization, and shrink-prevention practices.
• Operate the POS, process transactions, and handle opening/closing duties.
