Job summary

Wild Fork in Plainview, NY is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to deliver a high-quality guest experience with expert product knowledge and warm hospitality. You will maintain a clean, well-stocked store, handle cash, and support opening/closing routines, including working in the walk-in freezer as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with enthusiasm for food.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8–10 hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling; POS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand daily sales goals, promotions, and store priorities to guide customer interactions.
• Support service standards to ensure customers feel welcomed and valued.
• Recommend solutions using product knowledge to boost basket size.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stock organization.
• Operate the POS, process transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Open and close duties with cash handling when leadership is not present.
