Job summary

Michaels store in Asheville is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and host events, including children’s parties, while delivering friendly customer service. You will run activities, assist customers, and support store operations throughout events.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, instructing crafts, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining store standards. Prior experience with children’s events and retail is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at Michaels Asheville, including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct craft projects; perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons and communicate events with clients and store team.
• Complete administrative tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and event setup/breakdown.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
