Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Morehead City, NC, is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging in-store events including children’s birthday parties.

You will assist customers, manage checkout flow, and support store operations to ensure on-brand experiences. You’ll work with guests of all ages, lead craft activities, handle supplies and add-ons, and maintain safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Excellent people skills with guests of all ages.
• Experience planning or participating in children’s events is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events (including children’s parties).
• Engage guests, assist with product selection and store navigation.
• Assist with checkout and rewards enrollments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Coordinate event add-ons (balloons, goody bags) and communicate plans to staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety standards before, during, and after events.
