Job summary

Acosta Group is seeking an energetic Part-time Event Specialist to perform in-store product demonstrations and manage event equipment. You will engage customers, explain product features, and ensure safe food handling during samples in a retail setting.

The role requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting, and collaboration with store personnel to meet client objectives. Prior food-handling experience and a Food Safety certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related entry-level experience.
• Food Safety Professional Certification and local food handlers permit if required.
• Proficient in using a personal computer and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain equipment and supplies used for events to keep them clean and secured.
• Communicate with store management about upcoming events when Supervisor is absent.
• Be the point of contact for all events in the store and assist other Event Specialists as needed.
• Provide leadership and knowledge to the team.
• Acquire adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Proactively engage customers and sell products to consumers.
• Assist/perform all demo program responsibilities and communicate product features and benefits.
• Prepare and serve food samples safely using appliances and following guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation and professional appearance.
• Set up Event Table properly and complete all assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and audits.
• Build rapport with store personnel to meet company objectives.
• Complete expense reports and submit online requirements on the same day as events.
• Take digital photos documenting setup successes for clients.
