Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an Event Coordinator for the Cleveland/Brooklyn area in Ohio to plan, coordinate and facilitate store events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes. The role emphasizes delivering a fun, engaging guest experience and a fast, friendly checkout.

You will also support omnichannel processes and maintain store standards. Responsibilities include client communication, handling inquiries, and coordinating with the store team.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating events inside a retail environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, patient approach.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Experience working with children's events and activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (including children’s birthday parties).
• Engage customers of all ages and assist with product recommendations.
• Facilitate activities, face painting, and party add-ons per company standards.
• Handle emails, calls, and paperwork; communicate events with clients and store team.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and SOP compliance; support omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS).
• Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production; support daily store operations.
