Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF CENTRAL FLORIDA is seeking a store associate under the direction of the General Manager. The role involves greeting donors and customers, processing donations and receipts, assisting with lifting items, and maintaining the stockroom and store areas.

The position requires knowledge of retail operations, stock handling, and a strong commitment to service. Candidates should have prior retail or stock handling experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work standing

Qualifications

• Retail or stock handling experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and barcode scanner knowledge.
• Excellent customer service mindset and communication.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Greet each customer/donor with a courteous, friendly, professional attitude and provide prompt service.
• Receive donations and issue receipts; assist donors with lifting items.
• Sort donations for carts, classify garments and assess quality.
• Sort and price hard goods (wares); maintain stockroom.
• Maintain a clean, safe production area and adhere to dress code.
