Job summary

CheckSmart in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Customer Service Representative to help customers access financial solutions, process transactions, and provide an exceptional in-store experience.

This entry-level role includes hands-on training, development opportunities across our family of brands, and a path toward leadership through a Key Holder program.

You’ll work full-time, weekends required, with a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data.
• Proficiency in using phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
• Background check required. All background checks are conducted in accordance with applicable law.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers to cultivate lasting relationships that drive repeat business.
• Review, validate, and process customer transactions with accuracy.
• Maximize customer success by offering personalized financial services.
• Enter and maintain customer information with precision into a POS system.
• Build new business by completing daily call campaigns.
• Assist in customer account management and collections by accepting payments and managing appointments.
• Attend on-site store tasks, events, and external marketing activities.
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness to enhance customer experience.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and manage vault and cash drawer as needed.
• Uphold company policies and comply with laws and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing training and stay current on changes.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Perform other duties as directed by leadership.
• Maintain a full-time schedule with regular in-person attendance, including weekends (40 hours/week).
