Job summary

Nordstrom in Honolulu is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver friendly service, resolve returns, and support order pickup. You will process transactions accurately and train new hires on the register, building trust with customers and teammates.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, multi-tasking in a fast-paced retail setting, and adherence to privacy standards while promoting Nordstrom Loyalty and new tools. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, iOS and Android.
• Clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training for onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ownership, accountability and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish, whether resolving returns and exchanges, or supporting order and pickup inquiries
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns with empathy, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems to support inventory accuracy
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance and resolution of issues
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Loyalty program, along with new tools, software, and services that enhance the customer and employee experience
• Hours vary based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
