Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate in Newport Beach, CA to deliver friendly service, resolve returns, and assist with order pickup. You will mentor new hires on the register and ensure accurate transactions while upholding security and privacy standards.

In this role, you will engage customers, troubleshoot inquiries, and promote loyalty programs, with hours including evenings and weekends. Bring strong relationship skills and comfort with multiple mobile and desktop systems.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Proficiency in multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android.
• Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and deliver POS/register training to support onboarding of new hires.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Deliver seamless, friendly service by understanding customer needs and owning interactions from start to finish.
• Resolve returns, exchanges, and order/pickup inquiries with empathy and a solutions-focused approach.
• Accurately process transactions and ticketing using POS and store systems.
• Build relationships with teammates and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through education, compliance and resolution of issues.
