Michigan First Credit Union in Jackson, MI seeks a Retail In-Store Assistant Branch Manager to lead a high-performing team within our Walmart/Meijer/Kroger-in-store branches. Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years leadership experience in banking/credit union setting.
• Thorough knowledge of lending processes and financial products/services.
• Outgoing, personable; ability to engage customers and adhere to member service standards.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience coaching team members to improve skills and performance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and early evenings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to work at multiple in-store locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate staff; share expertise in lending, investments, and banking products with members and team.
• Deliver five-star service to members and potential members in a financial/retail environment.
• Represent the branch brand with a positive, confident, and friendly demeanor.
• Assist Branch Manager with scheduling, duties, and prioritization per policies.
• Inspire teammates and set a collaborative tone for branch success.
• Engage in outreach to in-store customers to assess financial needs and present solutions.
• Make recommendations for product/service enhancements based on customer feedback.
• Develop plans to improve efficiency of materials, machines, and staff.
• Support the Branch Manager in branch direction and coverage as needed.
• Oversee reporting and analysis of transactions and branch performance; prepare reports for HQ/regulators.
• Support promotional opportunities with retailers and drive product/service promotions.
• Maintain a clean, secure, customer-friendly branch environment.
