Buckle in Athens, GA is seeking a Seamstress/Tailor to support alterations for guests, including hemming jeans and pants, within our mission to create the most enjoyable shopping experience. You will perform quality alterations at the store and follow Guest specifications with accuracy.

This role requires standing for long periods, flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends, and using the Buckle sewing machine and tools to complete alterations, mark lines, remove stitches, and re-sew

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience and/or training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to perform quality alterations and follow guest specifications.
• Uphold Buckle’s Code of Ethics and store policies.

Responsabilidades

• Perform quality alterations on merchandise at store location.
• Follow ticket instructions and markings based on Guest specifications.
• Accommodate Guests with on-the-spot alterations when requested by Store Leaders.
• Meet deadlines and Guest expectations for merchandise alterations.
• Use Buckle provided sewing machine and supplies to perform alterations.
• Measure and mark alteration lines.
• Pin altering folds or mark on cloth at seam to indicate alterations in progress.
• Remove stitches from garment using ripper or razor blade.
• Re-sew merchandise using needle and thread or sewing machine.
• Press merchandise using a hand iron or steamer.
• Remove spots or stains from merchandise.
• Record all work and follow through on the alteration log.
• Maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area.
