The role requires anticipating guest needs and providing a seamless, memorable in-room dining experience. Responsibilities include taking orders, delivering with a friendly demeanor, processing payments, and maintaining station cleanliness.

Job Summary

The In-Room Dining Server is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders directly to guest rooms while providing exceptional, personalized service. This role requires strong menu and product knowledge, accurate order taking, timely delivery, and professional presentation. The server is expected to anticipate and accommodate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and ensure each guest enjoys a seamless and memorable in-room dining experience.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction as well as company standards; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
• Serves food and beverages to guests as per the restaurant's standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that the guests have a pleasant dining experience
• Obtain complete knowledge about ingredients, flavors and suggestions about menu items
• Inform guests about special items for the day and menu changes.
• Take food and beverage orders
• Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals
• Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Complete pre-shift and post-shift duties including setup and teardown of certain stations
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Must be at least sixteen years old (at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages)
• Previous experience as a server preferred
• Must successfully compete in food safety, alcohol, and job training.
• Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred

• Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way

• Basic Knowledge of Spirits, Beer, Wine & Beverages

• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accordingly
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems

Physical Demands

• Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
• Must be able to safely deliver food and drinks on different surfaces

Working Conditions

• Exposure to slippery surfaces and stairs depending on location
• Indoor and/or outdoor
• Exposure to extreme heat and cold depending on season and location
• Potential exposure to naturally occurring environmental factors such as wind, rain, red tide, etc.
• Possibility to work 11+ hour shifts
