Thompson Houston is recruiting for an In-Room Dining Server to join our hotel team as we launch a new destination restaurant concept within Thompson Houston Hotel.

This role starts immediately and supports a 3-meal dining venue with an expanded pool deck, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, and indoor-outdoor dining. You will ensure guest satisfaction, take orders, and process payments in a Hyatt-managed setting.

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Liquor, wine & beer and food knowledge.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational skills.
• Work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule - overnight shift duties including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inputs guest orders.
• Ensure receipt of orders by kitchen are correct.
• Delivers food and beverage orders and collects payments.
• Settles checks in the POS system according to Hotel specifications.
• Assists in the maintenance of the Room Service area and equipment.

The 3-meal dining venue includes an expanded 1-acre pool deck serving hotel guests and residents, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, indoor-outdoor dining areas and the best views of downtown. This restaurant is managed by Thompson Houston Hotel and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. In-Room Dining colleagues are responsible for recording guest food and/or beverage orders, offering menu suggestions, processing forms of payment for goods and services to include room charges and credit card. Our In Room Dining Attendants are a vital point of contact for the guest dining experience and have the ability to ensure satisfaction. Other duties include general in room dining preparation, removal of serving trays from guestroom floors and maintaining a sanitary environment.
