Thompson Austin, part of Thompson Hotels, is seeking a Lead In-Room Dining (IRD) Server to support the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will supervise service colleagues, ensure accurate orders, assist with training, and uphold food safety and cleanliness standards throughout the shift.

Flexible scheduling including overnights is required; strong organization, teamwork, and knowledge of wine, liquor and food pairings help you elevate guest satisfaction in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 1-year experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Liquor, wine & beer and food knowledge.

The Role

In-Room Dining colleagues are responsible for recording guest food and/or beverage orders, offering menu suggestions, processing forms of payment for goods and services to include room charges and credit card. Our In Room Dining Attendants are a vital point of contact for the guest dining experience and have the ability to ensure satisfaction. Other duties include general in room dining preparation, removal of serving trays from guestroom floors and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Team Leadership: Assist with training, coaching, mentoring, and coordinating daily assignments.
• Service Standards: Ensure order accuracy, timely delivery, and consistent guest service.
• Health & Safety: Maintain food safety, sanitation, departmental cleanliness, and checklist compliance.
• Inventory & Equipment: Monitor stock levels, tray retrieval, and proper equipment storage.
• Amenity Quality Control: Ensure guest amenities meet established preparation and presentation standards.
• Operational Readiness: Ensure service areas are clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for each shift.
• Communication & Accountability: Communicate operational concerns to management and reinforce departmental procedures.
• The Lead IRD Server will continue serving guests while providing additional leadership and operational support to maintain service excellence and departmental standards.
