Job summary

Amity Foundation in California is seeking a passionate Counselor I for in‑prison facilities to deliver face‑to‑face rehabilitative programming as part of the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).

The role includes facilitating CBI classes, evaluating participant progress, and ensuring the health, safety, and confidentiality of participants. Compensation is $28 per hour for full-time on-site work, along with a commitment to community action.

Qualifications

• Registered with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Must obtain AOD certification within five years.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP and its contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Engage participants and reinforce group norms.

Skills

Understanding of substance abuse effects
