Job summary

Amity Foundation in California’s state prison system seeks compassionate Counselors I to deliver rehabilitative programming within the ISUDTP. You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct individual sessions, document progress, and maintain group norms in a secure, state-prison setting.

The role requires registration with a DHCS-approved organization and completion of AOD certification within five years, with opportunities to collaborate with CDCR staff and contractors for program success.

Qualifications

• Registered with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Must obtain AOD certification within five years of registration.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ARMS and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in ISUDTP.
• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct individual sessions to develop release prevention plans.
• Document progress and delivery of services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS staff and local institutions.
