Job summary

Amity Foundation in the United States seeks dedicated counselors to join as Counselor II/III (ISUDT) in a state prison setting, delivering rehabilitative programming within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program.

You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct individual sessions, document progress, and collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS staff. Certification as an AOD counselor and at least one year of full-time experience are required; compensation is hourly at $33.60.

Qualifications

• Certified AOD counselor at Counselor II or III level.
• One year of full-time experience providing certified AOD counseling services.
• Ability to engage participants daily and work collaboratively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release plans and provide make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants in their classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Work with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and contracted staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.
