Job summary

Amity Foundation in California seeks a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the ISUDTP within state prison facilities. You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct sessions, document progress, and maintain records in ARMS.

The role requires DHCS-approved registration and AOD certification within five years. Strong interpersonal and written skills, plus MS Office and confidentiality, are essential. On-site, full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Must obtain AOD certification within five years of registration date.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.
• Maintain confidentiality of participant records and information.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release plans and make-up work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants.
• Document delivery of CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS HQ, local institution, and CDCR staff.
• Other related duties as assigned.
