Job summary

Amity Foundation in the United States seeks compassionate individuals to join our prison-based ISUDTP as Counselor I, delivering rehabilitative programming directly to inmates. You will facilitate CBI classes, conduct sessions, document progress in ARMS, and collaborate with CDCR staff to support release planning while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Registered with a DHCS-approved organization and obtain AOD certification within five years.
• Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse.
• Knowledge of ISUDTP contractual requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office and ARMS.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectivity under pressures; safeguard confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum.
• Conduct class and individual sessions to develop release plans.
• Evaluate and document participant progress.
• Document delivery of CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institution, and contracted staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Contractor.
