Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Counselor I to deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the ISUDTP within a state prison setting. The role emphasizes evidence-based CBI classes, client progress documentation, and collaboration with CDCR and affiliated staff.

The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality, meet AOD certification timelines, and use MS Office and ARMS for reporting. The position is full-time and on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse.
• Knowledge of contractual ISUDTP requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office and ARMS.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in handling participant records.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based and standardized curriculum.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans and provide makeup work.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants.
• Document delivery of CBI services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, local institutions, and contractor staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
