Job summary

Amity Foundation is seeking a Counselor I to deliver rehabilitative programming within its ISUDTP in state prison facilities. You will facilitate CBT-based classes, conduct sessions to develop release plans, and document progress using ARMS.

Strong interpersonal skills and adherence to confidentiality are essential. The ideal candidate is registered with a DHCS-approved organization and will obtain an AOD certification within five years.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with an organization approved by DHCS.
• Must obtain AOD certification within five years of registration date.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the ISUDTP.
• Facilitate CBI classes using standard curriculum.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop release plans.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants.
• Document delivery of CBI programming in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms.
• Collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS HQ, local institutions, and contracted staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
