Job summary

Loadstar is seeking an In-Plant Supervisor to lead and support our in-plant product handling logistics operations. You will oversee loaders, switchmen, warehouse staff, and dock operators, ensuring safe, reliable execution of work per Loadstar procedures and regulations.

You will coach and develop the team, drive customer service improvements, participate in hiring, and promote a culture of safety and operational excellence across shifts and sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years industry logistics experience.
• TWIC and valid Driver’s License required.
• Railcar and truck loading/unloading and dock operations experience.
• Familiarity with Loadstar Safety Management System and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for customer communications and service improvements.
• Ensure compliance with mandated procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, support, and high employee morale for the team.
• Oversee training and preparedness of shifts and field staff.
• Participate in interviews and hiring processes aligned with company values.
• Lead by example with professionalism and adherence to standards.
• Support field employees and address challenges to ensure success.
• Oversee onboarding of new field workers and safety training.
• Conduct regular evaluations and coaching to promote development.
• Respond promptly to incidents, oversee corrective actions, and document lessons learned.
• Promote safety and environmental care as core leadership values.
• Conduct routine audits and safety meetings at job sites.
• Collaborate with Loadstar Marine Logistics on coverage and problem-solving initiatives.
