H&R Block is hiring a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns for diverse clients and build lasting relationships. This in-person role leverages industry-leading training and technology with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan.

You will interview clients, identify tax-saving opportunities, provide personalized recommendations, and deliver audit guidance when needed. Strong communication and IRS/state knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning and audit support.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
