Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses and to interview clients to uncover opportunities for savings. You will build lasting relationships and deliver consultative service using our training and technology.

You will provide IRS support and audit guidance while collaborating with a team in a local Block Advisors office to deliver accurate results and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
