Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and offer personalized advisory guidance in person at a local Block Advisors office.

You will build lasting client relationships, uncover savings opportunities, and leverage industry-leading training and technology—supported by an incentive plan based on impact as you grow tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience preparing complex individual returns and business returns.
• Strong communication in a client-facing advisory role.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
