Job summary

REACH Services in Diamond Bar, CA is hiring for a direct-support role to implement educational and vocational services for individuals with disabilities. The position emphasizes helping participants achieve living and job-related skills in daily activities and community-based settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with planned objectives, documenting progress, and participating in trainings and safety programs.

Qualifications

• An interest in and willingness to learn and understand issues as they relate to training and vocational needs of individuals with disabilities and adaptive needs.
• CPR and First Aid training and certification are provided by REACH.
• Must be 18 years of age, possess a valid California driver’s license, automobile insurance, good DMV driving record; and have a reliable and safe vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of vocational and independent living skills objectives as set out in the participant's plan.
• Provide direct educational, vocational and living skills support to individuals with disabilities.
• Transport individuals to and from activities in the community, when needed.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in safety programs and training.

Education

High School diploma or GED preferred
