Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits. Coders will use the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline the billing process and must accurately assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes, DRGs, and present-on-admission indicators.

Requirements include a 2-year degree or equivalent experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and experience coding CABG, Orthopedics, and Med cases. Excellent communication and accuracy are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience required.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Orthopedics, and Med cases.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Float across multiple sites and coding specialties.
