DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-Patient Coder to work on Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits, coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases using 3M 360 Encoder HDM. The role requires AHIMA/AAPC certification and experience with 3M encoder, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, and DRG assignment. Flexibility to float across sites is needed.

Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or with a team are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience; AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures codes; DRG assignment.
• Ability to create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
