Job summary

Appian seeks a seasoned Resource & Staffing Lead to own regional allocations, triage demand, and broker assignments. You will manage bench, forecast capacity risks, and drive a weekly staffing cadence with leaders to resolve conflicts and maximize billable utilization.

You will partner with HR and leadership to plan workforce needs, onboard talent, and support skill development in a fast-paced, in-person culture at Appian's HQ. A strong background in PSA tools and advanced Excel is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in resource management, staffing/deployment, or workforce planning.
• Experience building processes and systems from the ground up.
• Experience staffing 250+ billable professionals across concurrent engagements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with PSA or resource management platforms.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Business Admin, HR, or Operations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end resource allocation for the region; triaging demand and brokering assignments with leaders.
• Confidence running a weekly staffing cadence and escalating conflicts when engagements compete for people.
• Proactively manage bench, forecast capacity risks, and line up next assignments.
• Monitor utilization and project timelines; provide analysis and actionable insights to prevent bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership for workforce planning, onboarding, and development initiatives.
