Job summary

Plante Moran, PLLC is seeking an experienced Scheduling Analyst to optimize staffing across offices and regions. You will manage the staffing process, collaborate with leadership, and ensure resources align with project needs and budgets.

The role requires travel to regional offices and may exceed standard hours as needed. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in professional services, a relevant degree, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a professional services/public accounting firm in either tax, audit, or scheduling role.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or other business related field highly preferred.
• Project management skills necessary to meet project milestones, make decisions when required, monitor databases, and communicate objectives.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) experience.
• Role requires consistent travel to other regional offices.
• Exempt position; may require hours exceeding the standard 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and facilitate regular assessments with managers to discuss upcoming assignments, scheduling needs, or capacity.
• Manage the staffing/scheduling process for the office/region and department.
• Collaborate with office leadership to achieve office utilization goals and staff mix requirements.
• Update data in scheduling system to ensure schedules align with manager communications.
• Create scheduling system reports to help allocate resources across the office or regions.
• Assist Talent Deployment Manager in reporting on and evaluating utilization.
• Closely monitor staff hours and schedules and balance workloads.
• Assist leadership to achieve utilization goals across practice roles.
• Proactively address utilization matters with leadership and communicate potential staffing issues.
• Assign staff to engagements to ensure resources are deployed effectively.
• Promote resource sharing region-wide and firm-wide.
• Lead scheduling meetings at office, region, and firmwide levels.
