Farm Family seeks a Litigation Specialist to join our Omaha office. The role involves negotiating lawsuits, directing defense counsel, and coordinating litigation plans to protect insureds while controlling costs. You will review claims, assess coverage, and engage in depositions and mediations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ body injury experience, including liability negotiation and medical terminology.
• Must obtain necessary state licenses and maintain CE requirements as needed.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how insurance claims work.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate lawsuits and direct the activities of defense attorneys.
• Coordinate a litigation plan with defense counsel for cost-effective defense.
• Investigate and review exposure, reserves, and case evidence.
• Review claims forms, policies and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Attend depositions, mediations, trials, and settlement meetings as required.
