Job summary

Home & Health Care Management, Inc. in Chico, CA, is seeking an HR professional to develop policies, manage records, and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws. This in-office role supports a diverse team across Northern California and involves benefits, payroll support, and onboarding.

You will administer HR processes, maintain credentialing, assist with recruiting, and coordinate interviews. The position requires integrity, attention to detail, and solid MS Office and HRIS skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal and California employment laws.
• Ability to handle HR data confidentially and with integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience implementing and maintaining HRIS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff and external partners.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with deadlines.
• Self-directed while contributing to a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Develop human resource policies with other company functions and assist with pay scale and benefit surveys.
• Prepare and maintain HR records for all employees; data entry and leaves tracking.
• Serve as HR resource; answer questions on leave, retirement accounts, health benefits, etc.
• Maintain credentialing; verify education/licenses, perform background checks, complete I-9 for new hires.
• File EDD applications; post new positions on the agency site as needed.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims; coordinate safety programs and audits.
• Assist in recruiting: coordinate interviews, make job offers, onboard new hires.
• All other duties as assigned.
