Job summary

The Arizona Department of Economic Security is hiring a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist (Eligibility Interviewer) for the Casa Grande Field Office. This 100% in-office role determines eligibility for Nutrition, Medical, and Cash Assistance and includes paid classroom training with on-the-job coaching.

In this position you will interview individuals face-to-face, collect information, enter data into multiple systems, and deliver patient, respectful service in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service practices.
• Experience using computer systems and office software.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a busy office.

Responsibilities

• Interview individuals in a field office to determine eligibility for Medical, Nutrition, and Cash Assistance.
• Attend classroom training with on-the-job coaching.
• Provide excellent in-person customer service to clients in challenging situations.
• Collect information and conduct eligibility interviews across computer systems.
• Enter data accurately while speaking with clients and navigate multiple screens.
• Adhere to agency standards in a high-volume environment.
