Job summary

UNITED REFRIGERATION, INC. (URI) is seeking a Buyer Assistant for a full-time, in-office position at our Northeast Philadelphia headquarters. You will support buyers, coordinate with distribution centers, and help maintain stock, data in ERP, and supplier relations.

Collaborate with branches, accounts payable, product teams, and the purchasing network to ensure on-time supply, accurate item data, and smooth promotions. This hands-on role offers growth within a vital supply chain function.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, etc. required.
• Prior professional office experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with replenishment buyers to build and maintain relationships with assigned product lines.
• Assist buyers in maintaining appropriate stock levels for lines managed at multiple distribution centers.
• Provide purchasing support for branch network product needs.
• Identify and reconcile supplier POs and discrepancies, including vendor PO confirmations, open order reconciliations, back order tracking, and shipping error tracing.
• Evaluate and track vendor metrics including on-time delivery, fill rate, and product consistency.
• Ensure accuracy of product item data and specifications in ERP (cost, sell price, descriptions).
• Support buyers in promotions, product rollouts, and planograms to ensure on-time supply.
