Job summary

Pecan Tree Rehab and Health in Texas is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehab team. This full-time position focuses on evaluating residents and delivering medically necessary speech and language therapy with individualized treatment plans to enhance independence and communication.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, AAC implementation, caregiver education, and collaboration with physicians for swallowing procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current licensure in good standing with regulatory boards.
• Experience in SNF/Long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health EHR system.
• Ability to work with residents with varied personalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized speech-language treatment plans.
• Provide AAC systems for severe expressive and/or language disorders.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures.
• Document billing and clinical records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with Restorative Nursing and care staff.
