Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house team at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Tampa, Florida. This role supports the Physical Therapist by delivering prescribed therapy interventions and helping residents achieve their mobility goals.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings, implementing treatment plans, and educating residents and families. Full-time, part-time, or PRN options are available to fit staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active PTA license in the state of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Identify indications for evaluations and assist in the evaluation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in identifying goals and treatment plans.
• Conduct individual and group treatment as outlined in the treatment plan (strength, mobility, balance, gait, ROM, modalities).
• Assist in selecting PT techniques/media and adapt as indicated by resident performance.
