Job summary

Evolve Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility in Kingsport, TN. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver therapy services to residents, conduct screenings, and participate in treatment planning.

Responsibilities include group and individual therapy, ROM and gait training, and education for residents and staff. Requires an active PTA license and an associate degree in physical therapy.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Assist in evaluations under the direction of the Physical Therapist.
• Develop targets and treatment plans with the Physical Therapist.
• Contribute to individual and group treatment sessions including mobility, gait, ROM, and modalities.
• Assist in selecting therapy techniques and adapting them as needed.
• Monitor responses and discuss modifications with the Physical Therapist.
• Help establish resident schedules with the team.
• Train residents and staff in equipment use and safety.
• Participate in resident and staff education.
• Maintain sound judgment in planning and follow-up of therapy programs.
